Even though RIM has not made it official yet, Samsung Africa has confirmed that BBM is going to be available for Samsung Galaxy phones. Reading the release issued by the regional Samsung office, it becomes apparent that BlackBerry Messenger will be available “soon” via theGoogle Play Store and the Samsung App Store. Although the presser is focused on Samsung Africa, we’re pretty certain that BBM will be made available to Samsung Galaxy customers throughout the world.
Samsung Africa customers will have BBM added to the collection of “proprietary’ and third party messaging services and this will allow them to become part of the BBM social network, taking part in BBM chats, and groups of up to 30 people. Photos and voice messages can be shared between members or groups. Both Samsung Africa and BlackBerry will promote the service to Android users and smartphone users across the continent to be more specific.
